Course contents :
    The course consists of a theoretical part (4h) and a self-learning part (56h).
Learning outcomes of the course :
The general objective is to make the student more independent in the organization and integration of clinical knowledge  The specific objectives are a to allow it to develop a reflexive attitude to the clinical learning, giving them the tpossibility to compare them with literature data, to synthesize. The student will be able to know and understand the basics essential to the practice of general veterinary first line, and will be able to apply them in all common situations.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
All the theoretical and practical training of clinical and laboratory disciplines taught during the first five years of the veterinary curriculum.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
4 hours (2 x 2 hours) of lectures will be given in face to face at the beginning of each semester. They will inform students about (1) the competency approach, (2) clinical reasoning principles and (3) the objectives and methods of evaluation of the course. Participation in these 4 hour course is required. The 56 hours of self-study are clearly identified in the clinical carousel of each option. T
