Course contents :
The student will be educated by means of a clinical training based on the radiographic and ultrasonographic examinations realized during the day on the patients referred to the imaging service.
Learning outcomes of the course :
  • Initiate the students to the diagnostic imaging techniques routinely used in veterinary medicine;
  • Learn the principles of radiographic interpretation;
  • Learn how to correlate the radiographic differential diagnosis to the clinical findings.

  • anatomy
  • manual restrain
  • content of the previous year course in diagnostic imaging
  • objectives of the clinical training of the previous year
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Hands-on in radiographic technique and ultrasonography.
Supervised training in image interpretation.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
Teaching is adapted to the choosen option. A rotation between the different activities of the imaging service will be organized: radiographic interpretation, radiographic technique and ultrasonography. Specific hands-on in radiographic technique and ultrasonography are planned.
Presence at the clinic is mandatory between 8.30AM and 5PM. Each student should be identified by a badge with her/his name and surname.

Assessment methods and criteria :
An evaluation will be done during the clinical week based on participation and activity of the student during the clinical work. A written exam (based on 3 to 5 clinical cases) will be organised during the session.
