Part 1 : General principles
The goal of this course is oriented to toxicological risk management in companies. Practical gestion of professional risk and use of available data bases will be discusssed.
Part 2 : Biological monitoring
This lecture "biological monitoring" is oriented to toxicological risk management in companies and to watching up the toxicological risk in vitro or by experimental techniques on animal, or on human (monitoring of contamination and its impacts).
Learning outcomes of the course :
Part 1 : General principles
To improve knowledge in

  • toxicological management in companies ;
  • professional risks management : primary prevention (identification of potent agents, quantitative evaluation of exposures, mastering of potent agents) and risk evaluation ;
  • data bases : practical advices to use on line data banks and software.
Part 2 : Biological monitoring
1. Experimental toxicology

1.1. Estimation of severity of toxicity by in vivo methods

1.1.1. Advantages and disadvantages of animal experimentation

1.1.2. Growing-up, maintenance and experimentation conditions

1.1.3. Test of acute toxicity
