| This course will give students a first overview of livestock production worldwide, and the basics of animal husbandry putting the emphasis on "animal" related issues: 1. Introduction 2. Domestication and history of livestock production in the world 3. Classification of farm animals and adaptation 4. Main breeds of domestic species 5. Basic principles of genetic improvement of livestock 6. Animal breeding structures | |||||||||||
