Course contents :
For academic year 2015-2016, the course will take the form of a collective seminar based on "Modernity and self-identity" by Anthony Giddens Each student will have to prepare (with the teacher) a part of the book and expose it to all others, launching the discussion. Students wil be noted on the bases of their performances during the seminar, and a possible dissertation a the end of the course.

Discussing the micro-social aspects of identity evolution.

THERE IS NO COMPULSORY TEXTBOOK.
The course is entirely based around "Modernity and self-identity" (Anthonuy Giddens, Polity Press, 1991). 
A COPY OF THE BOOK WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR THE STUDENTS WHO DO NOT WANT TO BUY IT
