Course contents :
| In this course, we will review the basics of probability theory and statistical inference, using a mathematical background that will be as accessible as possible.
This course is a prerequisite for the courses of multivariate statistics, linear models and time series analysis for students who would not have had courses on these topics before. |
Learning outcomes of the course :
| At the end of this lecture series, the students should know the mathematical prequisites to follow advanced courses of statistics. The should also be able to solve a few problems in statistics or probability. | ||
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
| This course is intended for PHD students of the faculty of sciences. | ||
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
| After explaining each concept, we will illustrate by examples and exercises will be assigned to the students. | ||
