 General aspects of ETP: definition-epistemological anchorage-history-issues-objectives.
The role of the care-giver-educator/Long-term accompaniment of the patient.
Ethical aspects/Patients' rights.
Process of therapeutic education: Advert-Reception-Educational diagnostic-Objectives-Planning-Learning/teaching Activities -Conduct-Assessment.
List of competences-ASCID Model (D, Declercq): psychopedagogy of health.

Learning outcomes of the course :
By the end of the course the student will be capable of joining a group and contributing his or her theoretical reasoning and links between theory and practice for each section of the course (AADOPEACEv) the treatment of a chronically ill patient : Announcements/ Reception/Diagnosis of educational requirements, negotiation of ETP objectives, ETP planning, design of educational and learning operations (events); review conduct, ETP evaluation.

Various methods : presentations, opinions, debates, exercises.

In-person classes. Home reading (material provided to students: 1 or 2 articles per class). Written analysis assignment.
