Course contents :
Presentation of the various techniques currently in use in functional brain imaging. Technical presentations will be illustrated in different cognitive domains (memory, language, case studies, ...)
Learning outcomes of the course :
Following this course, the student will be able: - to understand the principles of the main neuroimaging techniques that are currently used in cognitive neuroscience - to criticize methodological aspects (e.g., experimental design) of cognitive neuroimaging studies

This course starts with a series of ex cathedra courses during which the principles of functional neuroimaging techniques are described. The following classes require students to present published articles that used functional neuroimaging techniques to study different cognitive functions (e.g., memory, attention, language, social cognition). These articles are discussed by all students and the professors during the classes, especially with regard to their methodological aspects.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
30 hours, 2 hours per week, attendance is mandatory.
Part of the courses will be held in seminar form with an article presentation by each participant

Related scientific papers and slide presentations will be made available
Assessment methods and criteria :
Evaluation based on seminar presentation, written report and oral examination
