Course contents :
Implementation of simple models of exchanges in biosystems : Verhulst model, Volterra model, crop growth models, interactions between cattle and vegetation.
Learning outcomes of the course :
- Establish equations describing exchanges in biosystems : identify parameters, independent and dependent variables; - Build, with numerical techniques (Euler, Ruinge Kutta), a simple exchange model and analyse its solution; - Realise sensitivity analysis of the model as well as calibration and validation.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
- Knowledge of Excel - Mathematical course (algebraic and differential equations)
