Study of the opera's world.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Students will assist at three performances to the "Opéra Royal de Wallonie". These performances are introduced by an general introduction to the opera's world, its history and by specific lectures relating to the respective performances.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
Lectures at the University ; performances at the Opéra royal de Wallonie.
Recommended or required readings :
The bibliography relating to the repertoire staged at the ORW will be communicated to the students.
Assessment methods and criteria :
The mark of the midterm exam in January will count for 30% of the June final grade if > or = 10/20 (the mark will have no effect on the final grade if it doesn't reach 10/20). Please note that the final exam for this course is cumulative.
