  • Equilibrium in two and three dimensions
  • Structures: plane trusses, frames and machines
  • Distributed forces: center of mass, beams (external effects), fluid statics

After completing the course the student is expected to
  • Construct free-body diagrams
  • Establish and solve the equilibrium equations to find reactions and internal forces
