Course contents :

| The seminar will focus on a specific issue of medieval French literature (in both oc and oïl) and look at it in-depth, and introduce students to research (initiating students in the use of specialised instruments). Students will attend scientific meetings, colloquia and workshops of the Réseau des médiévistes belges, and conferences held by the Transitions group.

| Students will be able to carry out a scientific study, produce coherent and pertinent research in the chosen theme (medieval languages and literature) and to present it both orally and in writing. | ||||||||

| Students will be evaluated on the basis of an oral presentation in class, as well as on a paper (original work, at the level of an article, on a subject chosen by the student relating to the theme of the course, demonstrating the ability to put together a bibliography, analyse an issue, and formulate a critical overview on the aspect studied).
