Course contents :
  • CEFRL levels of the course: C1-C2 (level 5)
Study of the vocabulary and the main chapters of Dutch grammar through (drill) exercises, reading, writing, speaking and listening activities, based on authentic texts and documents related to law.
Learning outcomes of the course :
This is the one before last year of a 6-year programme. The final objective is the written and oral practice of Dutch.
The fifth part focuses on the knowledge of Dutch grammar and vocabulary related to law.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
The student should have attended the first four years of the program or have a very good level in Dutch to be able to follow this class.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
2 hours every week. Students will be asked to do some homework and attend the class actively. It is possible to follow @lter at the same time.

Assessment methods and criteria :
Six tests of legal vocabulary during the year (3 in partim 1; 3 in partim 2). Those tests are marked and are part of the written exam. The student can be exempted if he obtains at least 10/20 for each test. If he doesn't, he will have to retake them at the end of the year. Written and oral examination in June. The written exam will consist in different grammar and vocabulary exercises, and a writing exercise.
The oral exam will consist in the presentation with Power Point of a 15-page readings file chosen by the student.
