| In order to be able to follow the courses taught in English in their future Master degree, students must be able to: - understand and summarise information - make presentations - take part in seminar activities - write a report By covering 4 units of Market Leader Upper-Intermediate, students will have to practise the 4 competences (reading and listening comprehension, speaking and writing). The topics covered are the following: international marketing, crisis management, raising finance and customer service. | ||||||||

| Maintain the B2 level and reach the C1 level thanks to a variety of activities covering the four competences. | ||||||||

| The course is based on 4 units of Market Leader Upper-Intermediate (Longman). The notes are given in class as well as press articles for further reading found in the English-speaking press. Links to videos are also proposed on Lol@. | ||||||||

| In-class assignments:
a presentation and two case studies: 20%
a report and a pitch: 20%
Written exam (listening and reading comprehension and an essay): 30% Oral exam (reading a new article followed by a discussion): 30% In second session, the written and the oral exams are both worth 50% of the total mark. |

| Students are distributed in groups of 30. Groups 1, 2 and 3 will meet in the first semester on Mondays (from 3 to 5) and on Tuesday mornings (8:30 till 10:30 and 10:30 till 12:00), group 4 will meet in the second semester on Thursdays (10:00 till 12:00). Students taking English part 1 must take English part 2 in the second semester. The exam of groups 1, 2 and 3 will take place in January, the exam of group 4 will be held in June. | ||||||||
