| The course is focused on teaching the specific pitfalls that academic English presents to foreign learners. This includes grammar, linking words and vocabulary. | |||||||||||

| Students will receive half their marks for class work. This includes:
25% Presenting the content of an academic text 25% Writing a critical review of an academic text The exams will provide the other half of the marks 25% for a written exam. Students will be asked to write an abstract for an academic text 25% for an oral exam. Students will be asked to present the pertinent data located within an academic text La présence au cours est OBLIGATOIRE. L'étudiant absent à plus de 30% des séances avec ou sans justification est irrecevable à présenter l'examen. Cette irrecevabilité est d'application non seulement pour l'examen de 1 ère session mais aussi pour celui de la seconde session. L'étudiant est, en conséquent, noté « absent » ou « excusé» pour l'ensemble du cours. Le stage organisé dans le cadre du cursus n'entre pas en ligne de compte pour le calcul des 30% |
