Course contents :
The course curriculum is based on an integrated course at intermediate level aimed at business people and students of business English:
Cotton, Falvey and Kent. Market Leader. Intermediate Business English Course Book with MyEnglishLab. 3rd edition. Pearson Education, 2010.
This course book is organized around thematic units relating to management and economic life and offers a range of activities (articles from the Financial Times, expert interviews, speaking and writing skills, case studies, grammar and vocabulary exercices).
Learning outcomes of the course :
acquiring, revising and developing basic communicative skills in everyday and business English
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
B2 level (CEFR).
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Personal investment and regular work are necessary to pass an online class. Although exercises and homework assignments are not taken into account for the final grade, we strongly advise students to do all the required work.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
self-study course including one face-to-face class per semester (from 18.00 to 21.00)

It contains a DVD-rom as well as an access code to MyEnglishLab (theorically valid for 21 months after using it).
Assessment methods and criteria :
Oral and written examination at the end of the 2nd year, maybe in addition to a few assignments to hand in before the exam. The weighting, the content and the types of assessment will be specified in the course of the year.
