| * Study of the main chapters of Dutch grammar * Study of the vocabulary & exploitation of the contents of texts; lexical and grammatical exercises; speaking and writing exercises * Listening comprehension exercises (Level A2-B1) |

| * This course develops basic language skills, especially the mastery of oral and written Dutch from both the passive and active points of view. | ||

Assessment methods and criteria :

| Examination in January : 1st part of the vocabulary (Beknopte basiswoordenschat)
The mark of the midterm exam in January will count for 10% of the final mark. Written an oral examination at the end of the year. Both written and oral exa. The oral exam is about one of the topics discussed in class and about an article that students chose in a Flemish or Dutch newspaper. The article must be handed in before end of April. |
