Methodology - Bottom-up and top-down analysis - Information structure - Principles of pseudocode construction
Symbolic programming (FORTRAN) - Variable dimensionning - Variable assignment - Repeated structures - Alternative structures - Files access - Functions and routines - Iteration - Ranking
Learning outcomes of the course :
Build algorithms with previous analysis methodology. Translate an algorithm into a programming language with strict syntaxic rules (FORTRAN) and write external files. After completing the course the student is expected to be able to design an algorithm logically and to translate it into a symbolic programming (FORTRAN).

The course will be given by Hélène Soyeurt. Participation to the course is compulsory. Practical sessions will be virtual (e-campus).
Evaluations and homeworks will attest to a good comprehension. Questions/answers sessions will be organized regularly but only students who have realized all asked tasks will be authorized to participate.
Students will be divided up into groups for the practical sessions.The composition of those groups has to be respected during practical sessions or questions/answers sessions.No change will be accepted.
