Course contents :

| As opposed to the introductory course, this course requires students' active participation, as they will be asked to read various articles, and to present and discuss reading notes. The course offers an introduction to such social sciences, in particular sociology, in its relationship to social history. The presentation of the key concepts of the main theories is illustrated by articles from historians who use these concepts in their research. | ||||||||

| By the end of the course, students will be able, when required, to research theoretical tools from sociology, in order to use them for their own research. | ||||||||

| The assessment criteria aim to reflect the course options. The oral exam will account for only 90% of points while the activities required throughout the year will receive 10%. | ||||||||
