| Theoretical and pratical introduction to rules of historical criticism in medieval history and to the typology of western medieval sources.
Collaborative practical exercises in class and individual pratice in library. |

| Continuously evaluation during the year (10%)
Written examination in January (10%) Written and oral examination in June (80%) The mark of the midterm exam in January will count for 10% of the June final grade if > or = 10/20 (the mark will have no effect on the final grade if it doesn't reach 10/20). Please note that the final exam for this course is cumulative. |
