Strenthening of analytical abilities and stimulation of methodological reflection. Introduction to the contextualization of arts with regard to social and cultural history.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
The symposium « François Ier et les artistes du Nord (1515-1547) » (Brussels, KIK-IRPA, 25-26th February 2016) is included in the program. Further readings and reports are also expected from the students.

There are no course notes. A bibliography will be given to students in due course.
Assessment methods and criteria :
The oral examination will cover the knowledge and methodological subjects covered during the course. Presentations made by the lecturers at the symposium « François Ier et les artistes du Nord (1515-1547) » (see above) will also be taken into account.
