This encounter of cultures and this cultural construction of Ancient Egyptian image in collective (as well as scholarly) occidental mind are then used to examine the current trends in Ancient Egyptian Art History as a discipline, as well as the methodological means that allow improving our understanding of the meaning of Ancient Egyptian Art as an artistic as well as a metaphysical system of representing reality.
