| Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program | |||||
Course contents :
| This introduction to land surveying present in a broad way all the surveying operations (levelling, traversing, survey, setting out) and the associated instruments (levels, theodolite, total station). | |||||
Learning outcomes of the course :
| - to get a basic knowledge of surveying operations and practical methods - to get an advanced knowledge of the instruments - to be able to organise a small surveying work - to masterise the diverse corrections that can be applyied to observations | |||||
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
| The course assumes good knowledge of basic mathematics: geometry, trigonometry, as well as of some elements of general physics: optical and electronic mechanics. | |||||
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
| In addition to the theoretical course, 4 practical work sessions are organised (problem-based). These will include field work such as a closed levelling, a traverse and a tacheometric site survey. | |||||
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
| Face-to-face | |||||

Assessment methods and criteria :
