General Hydrology
| The course aims at introducing the fundamentals of general hydrology.
It introduces all the concepts with a focus on the role of arable lands in the flow partition. It deals with hydrometry and data management. In the context of hydrological data bases, it leads us to deal with data quality tests, data completion, and statistical analysis of extremes. The course illustrates its relevance through the presentation of on going research studies among the group. |

Landscape and ecosystems services
| Introduction to the concept of ecosystem services (ES) Human impacts on ES and solutions What relationships between ES and landscapes ? How to measure the ES ? How to evaluate the ES ? Case studies analyses with an emphasis on how to communicate ? | |||||
Learning outcomes of the course :
General Hydrology
| The course aims at developping the students abilities to analyze, in a quantitative way, how a natural system behaves. More specifically, after completing the course the student is expected to -define main hydrological terms -describe technical measurement tools -discuss about main measurements pros and cons -calculate the terms of water cycle within a watershed -analyse observed time series (flow, rain, ...) -make a preliminary interpretation of hydrological data -explain different simple modelling systems, their principles and limitations | |||||

Landscape and ecosystems services
| They will be able to define and to identify ecosystemic services and to assess their relative importance in a landscape. They will learn to communicate about a complex thematic by defending their assessment compared to other groups. | |||||

Landscape and ecosystems services
| Interactive course. A significant part of the course is devoted to a work group consisting of a changing landcape case study for analysis for an ES valuation related to land classes and uses. Emphasis is placed on the representation of interactions and SE to communicate. | |||||
