Course contents :
The aim of this course is to describe different physiological systems dynamic models. These models should be used in medical applications or in clinics.
More specifically, this course will focus on:
  • cardiovascular system and hemodynamics modelling
  • pulmonary system modelling
  • glucose-insulin loop modelling
Besides physiological systems modelling, this course will also examine how to model frequent clinical situations such as:
  • mechanical ventilation
  • glucose control in intensive care patients
  • pathologies of the cardiovascular system
Learning outcomes of the course :
Learn to model different physiological systems and some frequent clinical situations.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
mathematical background of a bachelor in engineering
