* Biology of the main game species in Wallonia. * Basics of hunting legislation. * Managing the balance forest - game. * Forest management for carrying capacity * Population dynamics, population estimation and calculation of the culling plan * Bioindicators-based management * Management of small game species * Monitoring of protected species * Management of invasive species * Monitoring tools of wildlife
Learning outcomes of the course :
The student will be able :

* to adapt the management based on the status of the species * integrating the forest management components required for large wild mammals * to adapt its management and, in particular, culling plans based on objective criteria * to use monitoring tools adapted to the species studied * to have fully integrated management system that prevails in Walloon hunting context
