Course contents :
That course comprizes 10 lectures of 90 minutes proposed during the second semester.  They are focused on the definition of the fundamental concepts, the sport and physical activity history; the role of physical activity ; the categories of activities; the motives of practice ; the organisation of pratice, the promotion of physical actvity, the motor learning.
Learning outcomes of the course :
It aims to situate physical activity within the society; to underline its effects; to describe the current lifestyle of the citizen; to present the key notions about motor learning; to illustrate the role of the physiotherapist in the physical and sports domain.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
Students do not need special prerequisites for the theoretical parts of the course.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
The theoritical course is provided in a direct teaching style with maximum oppotunities for interaction with the students.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
Face-to-face.

A pdf version of the slides proposed during lectures and of each other documents is posted on the Website myULg. Students have sometime to find themselves other references.
Assessment methods and criteria :
A written examination is organized in June to assess the knowledge of the students. It focused on four open ended questions needing reflexion and analysis of the taught contents.
