Course contents :
The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with basic economic mechanisms by analyzing individual behaviour (microeconomics).
The course covers the main topics of microeconomics: theory of demand, theory of production and costs (externalities included), perfect competition, monopoly and price discrimination, oligopoly and monopolistic competition, labor markets. 
Learning outcomes of the course :
The student must be able:
- to explain and to analyse individual economic behaviour (microeconomics);
- to understand and to explain, in a critical perspective, the relations between the main economic variables.
These learning outcomes contribute to develop the 2 and 6 ILOs.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
None.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Ex cathedra presentations.
During sessions of 1h30, exercises are given in small groups of students in order to present the chapters of the course in a practical way.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
Face-to-face.
First semester, 40 hours (+ 15 hours of exercises).
