Learning outcomes of the course :
At the end of this course, the student must be able :
  • to know the origin of pesticides and biocides and understand the issues of chemical control in the general framework a sustainable agriculture.
  • to know the main properties (physico-chemical, biological, toxicological and ecotoxicological) for the risk assessment of pesticides and biocides
  • to adopt a methodological approach in risk assessment
  • to apply the mathematical models and make the calculations for estimating the exposure of operators and consumers to pesticides
