Course contents :
This series of lectures is based on the use of biophysical methods (mainly optical spectroscopies, presented into details for course BIOC0721-1: Propriétés optiques des macromolécules biologiques) to study protein folding. Concrete examples (e.g. bêta-lactamases, single-domain antibody fragments, lysozymes) are analyzed in details, on the basis of theoretical background and data found in the literature.

Students will learn how biophysical methods can be used to study protein folding.

Lectures are given with the help of powerpoint presentations, blackboard and white chalk

Scientific articles will be given as they are analyzed and lecture notes will be available following the lectures
Assessment methods and criteria :
An oral will be organized. Each student is given ca. 30 min, with maximum 15 min for preparation and thus minimum 15 min for discussion.
