The course concerns human biochemistry and physiology, partim cardio-vascular system. In particular, it encompasses the following chapters:
  • Elements of cardio-vascular physiology
    • Cardiac pump
    • Vascular System
    • Cardio-vascular homeostasis : cardiac output and arterial pressure
  • Principles of cardio-vascular physiopathology
    • Arterial hypertension
    • Coronary insufficiency
    • Cardiac failure
Learning outcomes of the course :
cardiovascular system
The objective of the course is to master the principles of biochemistry and physiology of the human cardio-vascular system. Furthermore, the student will have understood the importance of feedbacks and interactions between the different parts of the cardio-vascular system.
