Principles of normal and pathological cellular regulation
Duration :
20h Th
Number of credits :
Bachelor in biomedicine2
Bachelor in biomedicine2
Master in biomedicine (120 ECTS)2
Master in biomedicine (60 ECTS)2
Lecturer :
Agnès Noël
Language(s) of instruction :
French language
Organisation and examination :
Teaching in the first semester, review in January
Units courses prerequisite and corequisite :
Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program
Course contents :
The course describes the basis of cell function regulations (apoptosis, proliferation, differentiation, transcriptional activity) by presenting the different signaling pathways. The topics are: - main signaling pathways - the apoptotic process - the extracellular matrix and intracellular signaling - cell migration and invasion
Learning outcomes of the course :
At the end, the student will know the main signaling pathways and how they contribute to the regulation of cell functions in physiological and pathological conditions.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
Molecular Biology
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
10 lessons
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
face-to-face with researchers
