Organizational remarks :
Professors (or permanent scientists) propose intership subjects that they would be willing to sponsor academically. These subjects emanate from companies or research centers. Students propose subjects on their own, but these subjects must be approved by an academic sponsor. A list of subjects is available on the website http://www.montefiore.ulg.ac.be/stages.
Students' University registration must be complete by the time they start the internship.
The internship is organized under the responsability of a four member internship committee, in accordance with the terms of the internship convention signed by all parties involved. (An example of such a convention is available at the address http://www.montefiore.ulg.ac.be/stages.) The first member of the committee is the academic sponsor. The second and third members are ULg professors or scientists. The fourth member is the industrial sponsor. The committee is approved by the Study Council, following a proposal by the academic sponsor.
The written report on the internship is handed out to each member of the committee, as well as to the internship coordinator (the president of the Study Council), maximum three weeks after the internship ends. The industrial sponsor is invited to provide a general assessment of the quality of the internship using the template available at the address http://www.montefiore.ulg.ac.be/stages. The date of the oral presentation is chosen together with the internship coordinator, who acts as a moderator during the defense.
