Course contents :
Contextual, historical and technical study of a building with heritage qualities.
Group work consisting in: - complete survey of the building, - historical and contextual study based on archive sources and field observation, - identification of the materials, - identification of the main pathologies and of the solutions to be implemented.
This study is the base of the restoration project drawn up in the development course ARCH1731.
Learning outcomes of the course :
Introduction to the methodology of the studies preliminary to the conservation project. Introduction to building archaeology and archive investigation. Implementation of the theoretical outcomes of specific technical courses ARCH1732 and ARCH1740.
