The course's program includes:
· Visits workshops and factories in the fields of implementation of the concrete, precast concrete, surface finishing techniques, formwork fabrication techniques (wood, metal, resins, ...)
· Guided tours of projects and achievements following opportunities.
· Discussion and information seminars on project related technical themes developed in the workshop "concrete"
· Technical training sessions at the service of project in the workshop studio 1-1 A (Refer ARCH1658)
Learning outcomes of the course :
To develop students' curiosity and interest in the means of executing architecture, particularly on a small scale which is easily measurable and visible.
To develop a sense of observation, reflection, research and architectural resolution, logic and technical sensitivity.
To develop awareness of all parameters and formulating and materializing an idea, taking a coherent approach to the process of technical design and the means of executing it.
To give examples of the way to approach the cost of a small construction.

In particular: to develop the amplitude of knowledge and know-how about concrete material and its potential.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
Courses in construction from the Baccalaureat.
construction and technology courses from the baccalaureate.
Basic knowledge of construction methods and techniques of implementation of concrete formwork and finishes.
Interest in the technical resolution of form, for means of implementation considered as tools of architectural creativity.
Handicraft skills, accuracy, practicality.
Interest in the development of sculptural form, interest in the visual arts.
