Course contents :
The topography course addresses a broad vision of the different practices aimed at surveying the architect but at an introductive level.
The course focuses on the equipment and its proper use. Particular attention will be given to the interpretation and the consistency of the results obtained during surveys.
The course covers the measures of angles and distance, the use of traditional instruments of topography such levels, theodolites and total stations.
Learning outcomes of the course :
Learn about the acquisition techniques of measurements of existing elements in order to obtain a information to establish a coherent architectural project.
Vocabulary learning allowing dialogue and understanding of the surveyor's world.
The capacity to select the right tool to perform a data acquisition assignment.

Practicals are realized in groups (max 4 students) and count for the assesment.
Continuous assesment.
An exam (oral/written) will be organized late Q1 (January)

No instruments will be made available to students who have not taken part in the theory section (that always takes place prior to the application exercises).
Groups must remain the same!
