Course contents :
A week of immersion in the world of didactics and upper secondary teaching: elaboration of lessons, classroom visits
Learning outcomes of the course :
To discover the world of teaching, and more specifically, that of secondary science teaching. To make an informed choice about the direction their Masters will take.
To learn to communicate scientific messages to secondary pupils
Prerequisite knowledge and skills :
To be enrolled in first year of the Masters in Biological Sciences programme.

The week is structured around practical activities: visits to schools, teaching exercises, meeting people working in the field...
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
An entire week (dates to determine). It will take place at the University of Liège as well as in secondary schools in the region of Liège

Assessment methods and criteria :
Assessment will be based on a report outlining the student's views and experiences (classroom visits). A micro-teaching exercice made by groups will be evaluated during his presentation for pairs. Participation during training will be token in account

During the week, some activities will take place at the University and others will take place in secondary schools, in the region of Liege, according to the possibilities
