Be able to characterize mineralogical samples with respect to the process they undergo Understand the importance of sampling and representativity Become familiar with ore microscopy and able to recognize most major ore minerals Properly interpret data coming from Automated Mineralogy and Image Analysis

2h of face-to-face theory followed by lab practice.
Whenever possible the practices will be coupled to the Minerals Engineering Practices

Modalités d'évaluation et critères :
Intermediate reports to be written on laboratory results (size, image analysis, XRD, ...) These reports will account for 25% of the total. Oral examination referring to the theoretical courses accounts for 75%. In order to succeed, a student must have a satisfactory note for both the written report and the oral examination.
