Contenus du cours :
The course aims to present recent scientific studies in the domain of quantitative supply chain analysis. It covers research topics like: network design problems, strategic allocation of inventories in supply chains, long-haul and short -haul transportation problems, managing inventories in supply chains, production and distribution planning in supply chains, scheduling and sequencing problems, supply chain coordination problems. The scientific articles and book chapters to be studied are generally chosen taking into account the research interests and the academic backgrounds of the participants. The students are wanted to analyze these chosen articles and/or book chapters during the semester and to prepare oral presentations of the assigned materials. Each lesson is organized based on one or two individual presentations followed by discussions. The participants are also wanted to present a literature review on a commonly decided subject at the end of the semester.

The course is accessible for Master and PhD students that are interested in developing their research capabilities in the domain of supply chain management. Please contact Professor ARDA (yasemin.arda@ulg.ac.be) until the end of October to ask for admission.
