Presentation

Objective :

Endodontic care and retreatment are becoming increasingly "specialised". General dentists are no longer completely trained to carry out a practice which has become, in some cases, highly specific. The desire to provide more and increasingly complex endodontic treatment now requires skills which cannot be covered in any detail in graduate courses. One of the objectives of the CUC in Endodonty is to offer general practitioners the possibility of being trained in cutting edge techniques and to refresh their theoretical and practical knowledge in endodonty.

Exposé des motifs :

The development of new technologies adapted to odontology, particularly the use of microscopy and mechanised techniques for root canal preparations, requires theoretical and practical knowledge which is addressed only briefly in second cycle studies.
This situation requires universities to offer teaching to constantly update practitioners¿ knowledge but also to (possibly) train specialists who devote their time exclusively to the practice of endodonty.
The Masters teaching will cover the basic knowledge required for specific clinical practice and cutting edge clinical practice in general endodonty.
