The infant-juvenile psychiatry education pathway aims to supply the theoreatical, clinical and therapeutic basics allowing the specialisation in pedo-psychiatry to be practiced.
The teaching is structured in three parts:
|
- A systemised clinical description of the different paedopsychiatric disorders with their symptomatology, their definition and classification, the various etiopathogenic mechanisms envisaged from a biological point of view, as well as psychological and social, and the different therapeutic approaches, especially pharmacological and psychotherapy;
- Systematised training in the different therapeutic approaches envisaged both on a theoretical level and based on clinical examples, especially psychodynamic, systemic, cognitive-behavioural, psychopharmacological;
- Training in various specific aspects such as assessment tests, forensic psychiatry and psychiatric examination.

Cet enseignement intègre les diverses approches cliniques et thérapeutiques afin de fournir à l'étudiant les compétences nécessaires à établir un diagnostic, à évaluer les différents facteurs pathogéniques et à connaître les bases des différentes approches thérapeutiques. Outre les aspects théoriques, l'enseignement se base sur des discussions de cas de patients rapportés par les participants. La formation est combinée avec cinq années de stages à temps plein en psychiatrie (un ou deux ans) et en pédopsychiatrie (trois ou quatre ans) et permet d'acquérir les compétences nécessaires à pratiquer la pédopsychiatrie.

|
- Five years of study : two years of basic study (FUS) and three years of specialised education.
