Course contents :  
Aquarium is a closed system considered as an artificial ecosystem.
Building and maintenance are considered, in particular :

* Materials
* Light
* Water chemistry
* Filtration (Life Support System)
* Food end feeding
* Transportation of live animals
* ...
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Give to students knowledge and competence to perform maintenance, reproduction, and use of aquatic species in closed environment (freshwater and seawater). Teaching intended for the students in aquaculture, oceanography or biology.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Basic scientific knowledge, level Bachelor in Biology (or similar)
Good command of french language
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Included into cursus :

* Guided and critical visit of Liège University Aquarium.
* Aquariologic material, devices and techniques.
* Water analysis and diagnose.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
8 lessons (Duration : 2 h 30) during the 3 last months of civil year, monday morning, Zoological Institute.

196 pp syllabus, recent papers, tables, ...

Oral examination.
