Prevention and control of emerging diseases:
- System of surveillance and good governance
- immunological aspects related to emerging diseases
- Medical prophylaxis with emphasis to the vaccination
- Sanitary prophylaxis
 
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Understand epidemiosurveillance networks and their governance.
Being able to provide options for prevention, and management of an emerging disease.


Understand the basics of immunology related to emerging diseases
Understand the basics of vaccination as a tool for control of an emerging disease.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Basic principles in infectiology.
Basic knowledge of infectious diseases and epidemiology of infectious and zoonotic diseases.

Interactive course.
Learning problem solving.
