Course contents :  
This course gives up to date data on parasitic emerging diseases in Europe. The content is updated each year according to the new developments in this field.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To provide updated data on some parasitic diseases (mainly vectorial) in Europe in the field of animal health.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
General pathology, general microbiology, epidemiology applied to veterinary medicine, arachno-entomology, pharmacology, vaccinology.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
There are no practicals as such but rather workshops based on multimedia material (CD-Roms).
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The time table is established on an annual basis by the coordinator.
Recommended or required readings :  
A hard copy is distributed to every participant before each lecture.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
The evaluation is organised by the coordinator with participation of all lecturers.
