Course contents :  
The course aims at immersing the learner in a situation of emerging disease. The learner receives a set of documents and photographs that compiles data about an abnormal event that has just emerged. The learner must mobilize its knowledge and skills and question the Web to (i) design a strategy for reaching a diagnosis as soon as possible and (ii) formulate appropriate measures for protecting public health and international trade.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The objective of the course is to become familiar with remote diagnosis and crisis management.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
The theoretical courses, the practical lectures and the clinics in histology, general pathology and systemic pathology given during the cursus.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The learner is given a series of documents, then left for personal reflexion and finally asked to present publicly his/her conclusions and action proposals.

The evaluation criteria are: the quality and completeness of the process of diagnosis, the quality and clarity of measures to protect public health and international trade.
