Course contents :

| The course presents the basics of biostatitics (descriptive analysis, hypothesis testing), using MS Excel and R. |

Learning outcomes of the course :
 |
| At the end of the course, the student is able to:- choose the adequate graphical presentation for a set of data
- choose the adequate descriptive statistics to give correct account of the variability in a data set
- apply in the correct conditions the following statistical tests: Khi-square, t-test, anova
- use the basic statistical functions of MS Excel.
- use the basics of the R software (data set handling, seek and use functions). |

Assessment methods and criteria :

| A homework is submitted, consisting in the analysis of a data set. The work is evaluated on basis of the results obtained and the explanations of the approach. |
