Course contents :  
The teaching of veterinary physiology during the second year includes: general physiology, muscular physiology, neurophysiology, respiratory, cardio-vascular and exercise physiology
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The objective of these lectures is to describe the functioning of the different systems of the body, taking into account the peculiarities of the different species of domestic animals.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
The pre-requisites are mainly animal biology and physics. The practices require some experience in domestic animal handling.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
The practices include seminars, demonstrations, interactive video teaching, functional tests and initiation to experimentation. Their are compulsory and require a clean lab jacket, and a stethoscope.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The time schedules of the theoretical and practical teachings are available on the valves and on the website of the faculty. Any change is announced orally and on the university portal.
Recommended or required readings :  
The manuscripts and notes are available at the 'Office des Cours de la Faculté de Médecine Vétérinaire' (Bât. B42). The reference book is the "Textbook of Veterinary Physiology" edited in 2007 by J. Cunningham in W.B. Saunders Company. it is available at the faculty library.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
The evaluation of the student is organised as a 2-hour written examination, including multiple choice questions and open questions with short answers.
