Course contents :

| The surgical pathology of production animals was treated in this course. It contens lameness, digestive urinary and respiratory tract.
The course on pig surgery describes the most frequent surgical procedures carried out on the pig farm (castration, tail clipping, teeth clipping, de-tusking boar, caesarean, treatment of prolapse of the rectum or uterus,...). |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| The general objective of this course is to enable students to visualize some surgeries and manage the most common surgical diseases of ruminants.
Specific learning objectives for this course is:
- Know the most common surgical pathologies
- Diagnose various surgical diseases of ruminants
- Establish a vital and economic prognosis
- Provide a surgical treatment depending on the disease.
- Know the surgical techniques most commonly practiced in the field of pigs.
- Consider the economic or legal environment surgery in pigs interest. |

Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :

| Theoritical and practical knowledge in propedeutic, biology, surgical technic and anesthesia are considered as prerequisite. |
