Course contents :

| Introduction to SA surgery is carried out via performing basic surgical procedures on cadavers. |

Learning outcomes of the course :
 |
| At the end of the course, the student should be able to eprform the following procedures : oesophagostomy tube placement, penrose and closed suction drain placement, temporary tracheostomy, thoracostomy tube placement. |

Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :

| To possess a diploma in Veterianry medicine acknowledged by the Communauté Française de Belgique and have performed a 1-year Small animal rotating internship. |
