Part I : Burn Surgery

Epidemiology, etiology, severity of the burn lesion. Pathophysiology of the burn wound.Inhalation injuries and barotrauma.
Hospitalisation in burn centreand criteria for admission.
Medical and surgical emergency treatment. Wound care, air fluidized bed, balneotherpy, surgical treatment (grafts, alternative wound coverings).
Electrical and chemical injuries.
Minor and major aftereffects of burn.

Learn to make triage in disaster situations, learn to treat patients in emergency situations.
